Scope of Work Activities
Understand software requirements and design documentation. Install software in Windows environment. Write software documentation (Installation Instructions, User Guides, Administration Guides, Quick Reference Cards, Training Manuals) consistent with requirements and design documents. Interact with software development teams Software services teams to understand software functionality and software documentation needs in individual software projects.
Continuous improvement (proactive and reactive bug fixing) of existing E-Notebook products software documentation.
Skills and Competencies - Required
General:
* Degree in Chemistry or related physical or life science discipline.
* 2 or more years of experience in technical writing in software industry including.
* Familiarity with software development lifecycle and computer systems.
* Ability to work in a dynamic, global team environment using modern communication tools (SKYPE, GOTO, WEBEX, IM etc.).
* Excellent written and oral communication in English
Technical Skills:
* Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003/2007
* Knowledge of HTML and standard HTML authoring tools
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft XP, Vista and Windows 7 operating systems
Skills and Competencies Good to have
* Practical job experience in R&D environment

Performance Engineer (Job Code PE01) with at least 3-5 years of performance testing experience
Responsibilities:
* Creating load/stress tests using testing tools ( Jmeter is a plus) , analyze load/ stress test results and build and execute load and stress test suites/ harnesses.
* Design and document user workflow models based on historic production usage statistics and projected future user transaction rates.
* Formally communicate suggestions for tuning the OS, network, database, and application parameters to the customer.
* Continuously create and update load scripts for new or altered business functions during subsequent release cycles and analyze the impact of these application changes on system performance.
* Design, code, and run scripts that facilitate the staging of performance test data.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of software testing experience, including test plan and test case generation as well as development of automated test scripts using tools within a multi-tiered web environment

* In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies and industry standard software development processes.
* Experience in Linux & Windows

* Familiar with software development tools for Windows. Should be familiar with Windows Visual Studio environments.
